{"id":2,"date":"2015-08-31T22:52:56","date_gmt":"2015-08-31T21:52:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ingadavisrutter.com\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2025-02-21T10:36:55","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T10:36:55","slug":"home-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ingadavisrutter.com\/","title":{"rendered":"All About Inga"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Inga Davis-Rutter<\/strong> is a Musical Director, pianist, arranger and accompanist based in S W London.<\/p>\n<p>She began to learn piano and violin at the age of 2.\u00a0 Having a love of Musical Theatre from a very early age, she was offered a place at the Arts Educational School, Tring at the age of 10, where she studied music, dance and drama; dancing child roles with the Royal Festival Ballet in \u2018The Nutcracker\u2019 in London, and \u2018La Sylphide\u2019 in Paris at the age of 13.\u00a0 She completed her education at King Edward VI School in Louth, Lincs, whilst studying piano with Professor Christopher Elton from the Royal Academy of Music.\u00a0 She continued studying with him whilst reading music at the University of York.<\/p>\n<p>During this time, she gained her Private Pilots Licence, and elected to join the Royal Air Force as a pilot after completing her degree.\u00a0 During her time in the RAF she became a Captain of the C130 Hercules transport aircraft.\u00a0 She travelled widely around the world, operating in war zones, and participating in humanitarian relief.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of her RAF service she chose to return to her first love of music, studying for an MMus in Piano Accompaniment at Trinity Laban Conservatoire Of Music And Dance.<\/p>\n<p>Recent M.D credits include: <strong>&#8216;Fun Home&#8217; was a music arranger and keyboard player for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 \u2018<strong>What\u2019s On Stage\u2019<\/strong> Awards at the Prince Of Wales Theatre; played keys for \u2018<strong>Tommy, The Rock Opera<\/strong>\u2019 at the Prince Edward Theatre (2012); repetiteured for W11 Youth Opera and MD\u2019d a touring production of \u2018Barber Of Seville\u2019 for Impact Opera.<\/p>\n<p>Musical Supervisor for <strong>&#8216;Kathy And Stella Solve a Murder&#8217;<\/strong> (Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol 2023).<\/p>\n<p>She is a West End audition\/rehearsal pianist, and coaches musical theatre at many performing arts colleges including Trinity Laban, LSMT, Royal Academy Of Music, Mountview, Millenium Performing Arts, PPA.<\/p>\n<p>Inga\u00a0is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.benstock.biz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ben Stock<\/a>&#8216;s musical director for cabaret. They have been performing at <strong>Brasserie Zedel<\/strong> since Jan 2017, at <strong>54 Below<\/strong>\u00a0in New York in September 2017 and at <strong>The Pheasantry,<\/strong> Chelsea in July 2018. They performed a Noel Coward cabaret across the UK in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>She has been MD for <a href=\"https:\/\/jessicamartinofficial.com\/\">Jessica Martin<\/a> in cabaret at <strong>Brasserie Zedel<\/strong> and at sea since 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Every year she publishes a list of audition songs presented at MT college auditions which seems to go viral!
